Membership

EDA brings together associations and represents companies engaged in the demolition industry, who voluntarily apply for membership and are interested in the development of the aims of the association.

EDA has the following types of membership:

  • National Demolition Associations or Federations
  • International Committee
    • Demolition contractors, from countries with a National Demolition Association or Federation
    • Demolition contractors, from countries without a National Demolition Association or Federation
    • Demolition suppliers: manufacturers, dealers,…

The integration in the association is free and voluntary, in accordance with the provisions of the Statutes of EDA.

Associations and companies engaged in the demolition industry, which meet the criteria established by the General the Assembly can requesto to be involved in the association.

  • Participation in the Government Organs of the Association (General Assambly and Board) .
  • Network with other demolishers and industry stakeholders at our general meetings, social events and technical committees.
  • Participation in the different activities organized by the association.
  • Becoming a member will assist you and your organization with relevant information about the  industry standards and legislation.
  • EDA is ideally placed to provide members with direct contacts and advice covering different topics.
  • Meeting with the managers and decision-making people of leading companies in the guild, both european and international.
  • Attendance at informal meetings organized by the association.
  • Another key role for the EDA is the dissemination of information to its members. With legal, financial, economical and legislative information changing at such a rapid pace, the EDA prides itself on providing members with information that is both timely and relevant via regular bulletins, announcements, the website, and also through  meetings, on an ongoing basis.
  • Identificational Label as a member. EDA membership raises the profile of demolition companies by identifying them as reputable and trustworthy.
  • Your own space on EDA’s website and in all the members list.
  • Support for the members through the permanent Secretariat.

Requirements to become a member

In general, any entity wishing to join must apply in writing, provided the following minimum requirements:

  • Approved by EDA lawfully formed companies or associations, after sending a completed application form.
  • The activity of the company or association must be linked to the demolition guild.
  • The member must pay the annual fee, fixed by the General Asambly.

How much does it cost?

Depending of the type of membership there are different annual fees:

  • Small national associations: 2.500 € (under 10 companies or for the first 2 years of the association as member of EDA)
  • National associations: 7.000 € (over 10 companies and after the first 2 years of the association as member of EDA)
  • International Committee Members (Contractor company): 1.100€ or 1.650€ depending on whether it exists in ther country a National association or not.
  • International Committee Members (Supplier company): 1.650€.

There is no registration fee.

How to become a member?

If you are interested in become a member of the EDA, the incorporation process is as follows:

  1. Fill and send to the association the appropriate application form.
  2. Your application form will be assessed by the Board. You may be asked for references of your company or your work history.
  3. If your request is admited, the association Secretariat will contact you, sending you the registration notification.
  4. Pay the annual fee established by the General Asambly of the association.
