The European Demolition Association, EDA, organizes every year a meeting of the demolition industry from all over Europe. This meeting, called the EDA Annual Conference, has an important technical part, with presentations about new developments, case stories, and round table discussions.

At the same time, the EDA Annual Conference is an excellent opportunity to network and meet colleagues, contractors, manufacturers, associations and other agents related to the demolition industry.

Thursday the 6th November

16.00 – Board meeting. One representative from each National Association is welcome

20.00 – Welcoming cocktail at the Ceylan Intercontinental – Room: Bosphorus 1

 

Friday the 7th of November

09.00 – Opening of the conference – Room: Dolmabahce ll – lll

09.15 – Presentation of the EDA guide on High Jibs – results from the workshop in Rome compared to the British research

• Speaker: EDA board member or Stefano Panseri (TBC)
• Speaker: NFDC or William Sinclair (TBC)

10.00 – Sponsors’ presentations Each sponsor will have the opportunity to give a 10-minute presentation, in which new technical details or innovative use of machinery will be presented

10.40 – a Coffee break

11.00 – Presentation of the demolition educations and training in the European countries

• Speaker: 2 – 3 different countries telling the conference of their best practice

12.00 – Round table on the education of staff, to extract an overview of the different educations and training in Europe

13.00 – Presidents’ lunch

13.00 – Lunch at the Ceylan Intercontinental

14.30 – Sum upon roundtables. Each round table will present their results

15.00 – Sponsors’ presentations: each sponsor will have the opportunity to give a 10-minute presentation, in which new technical details or innovative use of machinery will be presented.

16.00 – Coffee break

16.30 – Company presentation on how education and training are implemented in everyday work.

09.00 – Opening of the conference’s second day – Room: Dolmabahce ll – lll

09.10 – Presentation of the existing European authorizations to use/handling the demolition machinery/machines

• Speaker: 2 – 3 speakers from different countries with knowledge in this field

10.00 – Round tables on different national authorizations and suggestions to a common European standard

10.30 – a Coffee break

10.50 – Sponsors’ presentations: each sponsor will have the opportunity to give a 10-minute presentation, in which new technical details or innovative use of machinery will be presented

11.30 – Sum up on the round tables on European authorizations by each group

12.00 – Closing of the day and a short introduction by the President or another board member of how the result of the conference will be used in the future work of the EDA.

12.30 – End of conference

13.00 – Bus from hotel to lunch with accompanying persons

14.30 – Visit to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia

17.00 – Return to hotel
