Madrid is the capital of Spain, and the largest city of the country.

Madrid, the capital of Spain, is a cosmopolitan city that combines the most modern infrastructures and the status as an economic, financial, administrative and service centre, with a large cultural and artistic heritage, a legacy of centuries of exciting history.

Strategically located in the geographic centre of the Iberian Peninsula at an altitude of 646 m above sea level, Madrid has one of the most important historic centres of all the great European cities.

How to get there?

EDA_2014Convention_Airport

Adolfo Suarez – Madrid Barajas International Airport (code MAD)  is located 13 km from the city center.

The airport has 4 terminals. Terminals 1, 2 and 3 are close together and serviced by the same subway station, while Terminal 4 is far from the others and has its own subway station and train connection.

Madrid has two major train stations: Atocha and Chamartín. Both of them in the city area and well-connected by metro, bus and taxi service.

How to get to the hotel?

From Madrid Barajas Airport

Taking a taxi is the easiest way to arrive. From the airport it is a short ride.

There is a flat rate from/to the airport of 30 euros (click here for more information about it).

If you choose to take the subway, get on line 8 (pink line), in Nuevos Ministerios’ stop change to line 10 (dark blue line, towards Puerta del Sur) and get off at Gregorio Marañón stop. It takes about 40 minutes and the ticket is 2 euros.
