  • Saturday 18th May 

– Arrival at the room and Western buffet style dinner: enjoy a leisurely meal in the calm black-themed interior of the restaurant of the hotel (included only with the leisure program).

– Night in Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo (premium category) in an excellent location overlooking Tokyo Bay (included only with the leisure program). 


  • Sunday 19th May

– Welcome of EDA Delegation: the Secretariat will be waiting for giving you a warm welcome and inaugurate the professional program.

– Western buffet style breakfast: you will be able to choose between three restaurants that propose from the traditional Japanese breakfast to the American style (included only with the leisure program).

– Dynamic Tokyo tour: you will visit four of the most popular sightseeing spots in Tokyo: Tokyo Tower, Imperial Palace Plaza, Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa and a Sumida River cruising, as well as a traditional Japanese tea ceremony experience (included only with the leisure program).

– Japanese-style barbecue lunch: delight in the Japanese style of barbecue on a stone grill created from molten lava from none other than Mount Fuji, in the vast Japanese garden. It will make you wonder if you are really in the middle of Tokyo! (Included only with the leisure program).

– Western buffet style dinner.

– Night in Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo.

– Round trip by bus: the perfect occasion to see the busy city.

– Visit HITACHI facilities: HITACHI, Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, is a global company with approximately 20,000 employees worldwide. We will visit the Tsuchiura factory, located in Ibaraki prefecture.

– Lunch and networking organized by HITACHI: an opportunity to make new contacts.

NPK NIPPON’s presentation: It is a company based on the development of unique attachments that match customer needs.

– EDA General Assembly. In the frame of the Study Tour Japan, the European Demolition Association will celebrate the annual General Assembly meeting in the afternoon. The members will review the main subjects of the association and decide how to face the key projects in the future.

– Western Buffet style dinner.

– Night in Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo.

– A trip by bus: a good opportunity to see the daily activity of the capital.

– Visit OKADA AIYON facilities: OKADA AIYON CORPORATION is a Japanese heavy equipment manufacturer who is providing a broad range of sophisticated demolition attachment since 1938. They will open the doors of its Okada Aiyon Plant, on the outskirts of Tokyo.

– Lunch and networking, organized by our host: an opportunity to make new contacts.

– Internal flight from Tokyo – Haneda with destination Hiroshima (ANA line).

– Dinner hosted by KOBELCO, in Hiroshima.

– Night in ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima, premium category. There is no better place to stay in Hiroshima than this hotel!

Visit KOBELCO facilities. Kobelco Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. (KCM), headquartered in Tokyo, is one of Japan’s largest manufacturers of construction equipment. The Hiroshima factory is specialized in manufacturing demolition equipment.

-Lunch and networking: You will enjoy a lunch organized by our host. An opportunity to make new contacts.

-Bullet train by Shinkansen. Departure from Hiroshima to Shin-Osaka Station.

Visit KOMATSU facilities. KOMATSU is a company established in 1921, that is dedicated to the manufacture and the sale of a wide range of equipment of construction, mining and utility equipment, and logistics. We will discover its plant, in Osaka.

-Dinner hosted by CATERPILLAR, in Kobe.

-Night in ANA Crowne Plaza Kobe, premium category: one-minute walk from JR Shin Kobe station and a metro stop to Kobe downtown (20-minute walk to Sannomiya).

– Western buffet style breakfast.

Visit CATERPILLAR facilities. The Japanese subsidiary of the global construction-machinery manufacturer researches, develops and manufactures hydraulic excavators at their Akashi Campus. This campus is a key development base where is the Hydraulic Excavator Development Center (HEDC) and the Akashi Plant.

-Bullet train by Shinkansen: departure from Kobe to Tokyo Station.

-Lunch: Japanese style obento with a bottle of water or tea.

-Western Buffet-style dinner at the hotel.

-Night in Shinagawa Prince Hotel, in Tokyo.


-Western buffet style breakfast.

-Visit one of the biggest demolition sites. It is the old CATERPILLAR plant, close to Tokyo.

Meeting of the JDCA and EDA in the Europa House, Delegation of the European Union to Japan and with the special collaboration of the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation. The meeting will start with a welcome cocktail reception, and will follow with a seminar where both associations will share their knowledge and experiences (Japanese-English translation).

– EDA Farewell Dinner. Pick up at the hotel and transfer to the restaurant for the traditional Japanese style dinner with a live show.

– Night in Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo.
