G2 – Education
Education and training have always been a key subject for EDA. As a result, multiple educational materials and guidelines have been developed.
In recent years, the shortage of skilled labour has been a major concern for companies in the construction sector, and in particular, for those involved in Demolition, Decontamination and Recycling activities.
The objectives of this working group are:
- To detail and document the job roles and career pathway opportunities that exist within Demolition, Decontamination and Recycling
- To detail the training support that is needed to guide people through their chosen journey depending on their starting point
- To lay the foundation proposition for outward marketing that promotes the industry and its opportunities to potential employees of the future
