The event, held in London in January, 25-26, 2017, included the participation of Mr. Vittorio Omini, from the company F.illi Omini S. p. A, who explained the case story “Concordia recycling project”, by the same way that in last EDA Annual Convention 2016.

ACI’s 4th Ship Recycling Congress provided practical solutions from shipping company experiences, aiming to educate the shipping sector on how to profit from the safe and efficient scrapping of end of life vessels.

The European Commission’s List of approved ship recycling facilities discussed in detail, highlighting the effects that the list will have on the European Ship Recycling market.

Additionally the conference examined the potential solutions to dangers and health risks workers may be exposed to ports outside of the EU, as well as providing an insight into new technological and practical systems for hazardous waste tracking.

The two day conference consisted of a number of informative presentations followed by interactive Q&A sessions, panel discussions and an open discussion to further involve the delegates.

Highlights of the conference included the networking area where all the attendees had an opportunity to exchange opinions and discuss on global market challenges and future prospects, trends and innovations following the presentations and panel discussions topics.

ACI’s 4th Ship Recycling Congress attracted around 90 senior level attendees providing them with useful industry insights and allowing them to share their real-life working experiences.

Its unique conference format gave its attendees the opportunity to meet one-to-one with people that can assist them in achieving their goals.

Building on the success of 2017 edition of the event, the organization has confirmed the dates and the location of the next year’s edition as 24th & 25 January and Europe.
