G10 – Explosive Demolition
Implosions often generate fear, uncertainty and rejection, especially regarding the environmental impact.
For this reason, EDA aims to produce a guide on explosive demolition addressed to customers. This guide will help them understand what this type of demolition consists of, in what circumstances it is indicated, and give them the basic guidelines they need to know to implement this type of action from their perspective as owners or managers.
Therefore, this guide will be an informative document, not a technical one. It is not addressed to engineers or workers in the demolition sector but to the client.

The Work plan and expected deliverables for this group are organised as follows:
Phase 1:
- Kick-off meeting of the group
- Meetings to prepare a descriptive guide about demolition with explosives.
Phase 2:
- Edition of the guide in multiple languages
- Illustrations and/or animated video of the guide
The guide about “Demolition with explosives” is estimated to be published in the end of 2025.
