The replacement of the High Bridge Bayreuth, a €105 million infrastructure project, is one of the region’s largest and most complex undertakings, and ACDE® EUROPE, which is an EDA member, plays a key role in the controlled demolition of the existing bridge structure.
The company used its BLTB-175L-5-W hydraulic hammer, marking its debut in the contractor’s fleet, which is essential for the precise demolition work required near active traffic and infrastructure corridors.
The BLTB-175L-5-W, part of the robust BLTB-5 series, is engineered for heavy-duty demolition of concrete structures. With features like the B®BI-LUBE automatic lubrication system, the standard dual-pump lubrication system provides continuous, load-dependent lubrication of all relevant components. This reduces manual maintenance requirements and helps maintain consistent hammer performance. Also, it features the B®TRACK&CHECK monitoring system, which enables the recording of operating data, working hours, and maintenance intervals.
