AEDED Forum 2026: networking and urban regeneration

The AEDED Forum 2026, held on 23 September in Madrid, brought together professionals from across Spain’s demolition, decontamination, cutting, drilling and recycling sectors to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.

One of the key topics of the event was urban regeneration and the role that demolition can play in transforming existing urban areas. As cities adapt to new social, environmental and efficiency requirements, the sector is increasingly involved in projects that go beyond the simple removal of existing structures.

During the Forum, AEDED also presented its new Guide on Urban Regeneration and Demolition as a driver of transformation, developed through the translation and adaptation of the EDA guide on the subject, originally published in 2025. The Spanish edition expands on the European perspective by incorporating the experience and views of professionals and companies from the Spanish sector.

The programme brought together presentations and discussions on current industry developments, with participants sharing practical experiences and perspectives on the future of demolition and resource management.

For EDA, the adaptation of the guide by AEDED is another example of how the work developed at European level can be transferred to national markets, while reflecting the specific realities and knowledge of local professionals.
