CATERPILLAR launches Next-Gen Cat® 330 UHD for safer, smarter urban demolition
CATERPILLAR has unveiled the new Cat® 330 UHD, a next-generation ultra-high demolition excavator designed for challenging urban and residential demolition projects. Competing in the 30-tonne class, the 330 UHD features a boom that reaches up to 20 m (65’6”) with a 3,300 kg (7,275 lb) tool, making it ideal for 5 to 6-story buildings.
Built for versatility, the 330 UHD quickly switches between ultra-high demolition and standard digging configurations, thanks to a hydraulic quick disconnect system—no tools required. It accepts both single-piece and two-piece retrofit booms, allowing it to serve as a standard excavator when not performing demolition tasks.
Safety is at the core of the design, with a tiltable, demolition-rated cab, high-resistance P5A glass, and Operator Protective Guards (OPG). Operators benefit from advanced tech, including a 10-inch touchscreen, Cat Payload, Cat Grade, and 2D E-Fence systems for increased efficiency and control.
Powered by the efficient Cat C7.1 TTA engine, and compliant with global emissions standards, the 330 UHD delivers both performance and sustainability. With its modular platform, remote-control readiness, and operator comfort upgrades, this model sets a new benchmark for high-reach demolition machines.
