DEVELON used Hillhead 2026 to introduce its new Series 9 Smart Crawler Excavators to the UK market, highlighting the next generation of intelligent construction equipment. Making their UK debut were the 37-tonne DX360LC-9 and 42-tonne DX400HD-9 models, with the DX360LC-9 demonstrating the company’s new E-Stop safety technology in the quarry demonstration area.
The Series 9 range combines full electronic hydraulic (FEH) technology with integrated artificial intelligence, delivering improved machine control, efficiency and productivity. The DX360LC-9 and DX400HD-9 join the existing DX230LC-9 and DX260LC-9 models, expanding DEVELON’s smart excavator portfolio.
Alongside the excavators, DEVELON presented its latest quarrying and construction equipment, including updated DA30-7 and DA45-7 articulated dump trucks, featuring a redesigned operator-focused cab with a 12-inch touchscreen display. The company also displayed its DD130-7 dozer, designed to improve blade visibility and operator comfort, and unveiled the DX25Z-7 mini excavator at Hillhead for the first time.
The stand was completed by the DL420CVT-7 and DL480-7 wheel loaders, designed for demanding quarrying and material handling applications. Together, the machines reflected DEVELON’s continued focus on safety, productivity and operator experience, while demonstrating the innovation driving the company’s expanding portfolio for the construction and quarrying sectors.
