EDA launches new Working Group on dust in demolition

The European Demolition Association is launching a new Working Group on dust in demolition, which will result in the development of a practical guide.

Starting on 28 April 2026, the group will meet online three times through June, bringing together professionals from across the sector to exchange knowledge and practical experience, with the goal of building a clearer understanding of the types of dust generated on demolition sites, the risks they pose, and what can realistically be done to control them.

This working group will take a practical approach, breaking down how dust is generated across different demolition activities and what influences its spread on site. By looking closely at real conditions and processes, the group aims to identify clear, applicable solutions that can be implemented in day-to-day operations.

About the deliverable

The outcome will be a practical guide designed for everyday use, not just by contractors, but also by clients and asset owners. Participants will help shape a document that reflects real challenges on site, offering guidance on planning, technical measures, worker protection, and monitoring.

EDA members and national association members are invited to join and contribute.
