First Develon DX140RDM-7 demolition excavator arrives in Benelux

Belgian demolition company Afbraakwerken De Schepper Kris is the first in Benelux to receive the new DEVELON DX140RDM-7, a compact high-reach demolition excavator.

Supplied by Syms Techniek, the 23-tonne machine boasts a 16-meter reach and is ideal for small-scale demolitions in confined spaces. Its debut project involves demolishing multi-storey buildings in Turnhout to make way for the ‘De Globetrotter’ community centre.

The DX140RDM-7 features a hydraulically expandable undercarriage for stability, quick transport capabilities, and safety systems including overload protection with sensor feedback. Fitted with a Eurosteel quick coupler, Zijtveld grab, and Trevibenne shear, it also includes an automatic lubrication system and a camera for high-reach visibility.

Previously limited to a 15-tonne excavator, De Schepper Kris expanded capabilities with this purchase, following a successful trial. This marks a significant step in the company’s growth, which, though only five years old, is backed by decades of demolition expertise from its founder.
