
The ReNEW project, led by Queen’s University Belfast (QUESTOR Centre), represents a network of organisations whose aim is to deliver innovations for the waste supply chain – promoting recovery of valuable materials from waste.
The ReNEW project was funded under the INTERREG IVB programme (priority 1) for 34 months, from January 2013 to October 2015. It sought to address the important issue of innovation in resource recovery.
After this time, the The ReNEW project presents an Action Plan that contains four recommendations: understanding for all, resources not waste, access to innovation and SME participation is vitalin order to change the business and society models, accelerate innovation in resource recovery, with the final result of increasing manufacturing and job creation.
The ReNEW Action Plan is specifically aimed at improving innovation of resource recovery processes, in order to enhance the circular nature of the consumption of resources.
