“Circular economy: the approach of the European Commission”

The Policy Officer at DG GROW Unit G.1 Sustainable Industrial Policy and Construction of the European Commission, Mr. Vincent Basuyau, will take part in the conference program of the EDA 2015 Annual Convention with a presentation about this topic.
Mr. Vincent Basuyau has a complete experience in the construction material and mineral waste businesses worldwide.
Following his MSc Mining Engineering (École des Mines de Douai – France), he spent 2 years in Ethiopia as a Technical Cooperation Expert.
Then, he developed natural and recycled aggregates businesses in Europe and the Middle-East.
He has patented 4 processes for secondary raw materials production and uses in construction.
From 1996 until 2008, he chaired the Recycling Committee at the European Aggregates Producers’ Association (UEPG).
He also holds a DEA (MPhil) in African Studies (Geography) from Paris University Panthéon–Sorbonne and Business Training Certificates from INSEAD and ESCP-Europe.
