How to develop a sustainable market for aggregates from C&DW?

Under this topic, the European Commission organized a Workshop on recycling C&D Waste, which was held past 28^th of November in Brussels, Belgium.

The Workshop checked the current situation of the recycled aggregates market at midcourse of 2020 target and challenges to achieve in all Member States.

The attendants to the meeting worked together in round tables in order to find out new ways to develop a market for this sustainable source of aggregates.

The discussion´s time was divided in three main parts:

• Recycled aggregates, no longer waste but a marketed product?
• Opening construction material markets to recycled aggregates.
• Which competitiveness for recycled aggregates

EDA was actively present on the workshop, with a presentation from our members about pre-demolition assesment and tracking of demolition waste.
