The European Demolition Association, EDA, has prepared a leisure program in Edinburgh on Friday 10th, at the same time of the conference sessions, for the companions.
One of the places of interest is the Edinburgh Castle, which sits upon an extinct volcano.
The castle rock area was the first human settlement in the city dating back to the Iron Age.
A visit to Edinburgh Castle is an opportunity to see the Crown Jewels of Scotland, to discover the importance of the castle in protecting the people of Edinburgh from invasion and its use over the years from a castle for monarchs to a base for the army.
After that, the assistants will have lunch at the Amber Restaurant at the Scotch Whisky Experience that is an excellent venue just a few minutes’ walk from Edinburgh Castle.
In the afternoon, the assistants will enjoy a tour at the Hamilton & Inches, home to some of the world’s finest craftsmen, luxury watches and fine jewellery.
Finally, as usual, there will be time for shopping at Princes Street in the New Town of Edinburgh.
