The Dowtime Index is a website that tracks the use of construction machinery on a weekly cycle in order to provide valuable information for professionals in the sector.
The website allows users to view weekly machine activity data to see how many machines have been running since the beginning of this year compared to last year.
In addition, a graph compares regional performance over time, establishing current performance against planned use.
The Downtime Index is the first web-based resource to provide this level of weekly data and analysis.
This tool was created in the context of the COVID-19 crisis, to support decision makers in the construction sector.
By tracking 150,000 machines on construction sites in 22 countries, the Downtime Index continuously evaluated the impact of the pandemic on the industry.
This web-based tool, developed by TRACKUNIT, together with TRIFORK and other partners including rental companies and equipment manufacturers, has continued its course and, for the time being, the public version is no longer available.
