€ 315 billion Investment Plan by Juncker Commission

The President of European Commission, Mr. Jean-Claude Juncker, announced a plan to re-boost the economy of the European Union.
The past 25th of November, in Strasbourg, France, Mr. Juncker explained an ambitious plan in order to kick-start Europe’s economy.
An initial € 21 billion will generate € 240 for a long-term investment and € 75 million for SMES and mid-cap firms over the period 2015-2017.
According to the President, the investment will be directed to help the places where the crisis has been harder, in order to demonstrate the solidarity between Member States.
The purpose of the European Fund for Strategic Investments will be support strategic investments of European significance in infrastructure, including transport.
