EDA is part of the Construction 2050 Alliance

A new path for the construction industry is about to come, the “Construction 2050 Alliance: Building tomorrow’s Europe today”.

The Alliance is an initiative to reunite more than 40 European associations related with the construction industry. The kick-off meeting was on 19th February 2020, in Brussels.  Among the construction stakeholders there wer several organizations, and the European Demolition Association was on of them. The main goal is to call upon the European Commission to improve the current situation on the construction policy.

To make possible the Construction 2050 initiative, it is necessary to support the construction sector in its adaptation to upcoming challenges and promote the sustainable competitiveness of the sector.

These are some of the main objectives of the Construction 2050 Alliance, to contribute to build the sustainable Europe of the future, promoting awareness of the EU institutions, building a strong and dynamic cooperation within the sector and increasing the political importance of the construction sector.

This Alliance will be the first step to build the sustainable Europe of tomorrow and to show the unique importance of the collaboration of the construction sector to the European institutions and civil society.
