EDA held a seminar about demolition in Moscow

For the very first time, the European Demolition Association organized a seminar about the key issues of the demolition industry in the capital of the Russian Federation.

The seminar was held on June 5th, within the trade fair CTT, which is the most important exhibition about construction machinery and equipment for the Commonwealth of Independent States and other countries from Eastern Europe.

Three speakers from EDA gave an overall vision about the demolition and recycling activities in Europe, focusing on the following topics:

  • Developments on equipment, technology and methods on the demolition industry
Presented by Stefano Panseri (General manager at DESPE and Head of the EDA Technical Committee)
  • Waste management, challenges and opportunities
Presented by Michael Brookshaw (Manager Europe Mobile Crushers and Screens at SANDVIK and EDA member)
  • Experiences of the demolition associations
Presented by Jose Blanco (EDA Secretary General)

After these presentations, done with simultaneous interpretation (English-Russian), followed a round table of questions and answers with the participants.

This was the first approach of EDA to the Russian companies, with very positive results.
