The companies DESPE, LIBERTY INDUSTRIAL and LIEBHERR, all of them members of the European Demolition Association, EDA, were awarded in last edition of the World Demolition Awards.
The Italian comany DESPE, was the winner of the ‘Urban Demolition Award’ thanks to the job of removing cinemas, theatres and shops at the Sporting d’Hiver development in Monte Carlo, France.
LIBERTY INDUSTRIAL, from Australia, won the “Contract of the Year under US$1 Million’ for removing a 229 ft bridge ver the Duck River at the former Clyde Refinery near Sydney.
Finally, LIEBHERR, was the winner of the ‘Innovation Award – Plant & Equipment’ for the R 960 and R950 high-reach demolition excavators, which can carry tools weighing up to 3.5 tonnes.
The World Demolition Awards where delivered last 14th of October, 2016, in the frame of the World Demolition Summit, held in Miami (USA).
