The Circular Plastics Alliance aims to boost the EU market for recycled plastics to 10 million tons by 2025. The alliance includes over 175 organizations representing industry, academia and public authorities.
In the Alliance is also included the construction sector, which may play an important role in achieving the alliance’s objectives.
This 26th of February it had place a second meeting on this topic at the European Commission Offices in Brussels. Mr. Johan D’hooghe, Vice President of the EDA Commitee, attended to the meeting on behalf of EDA and gave a speech about the Recycling assistance deals with sustainability matters, particularly on plastic in construction.
In this meeting the demolition industry was represented in the recycling matter, showing that the sector is giving steps to incorporate the circular economy in the industry.
