EDA participates in the IAEA webinar ‘Nuclear Decommissioning in the Context of Sustainability and Circular Economy’

  • The ‘Nuclear Decommissioning in the Context of Sustainability and Circular Economy’ webinar will take place on July 21st.

Next Wednesday, July 21st, the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) will hold, from 1:30 pm, a free webinar of high interest and value: ‘Nuclear Decommissioning in the Context of Sustainability and Circular Economy’.

In their own words, “this webinar will highlight a wide range of considerations on nuclear decommissioning in the context of sustainability and circular economy. Several examples of decommissioning and waste management practices thar are in accordance with these principles will be provided. Valuable insights from the experience gained in demolition of large structures in the non-nuclear industry will also be shared”.

Mr. Jose Blanco, Secretary General of the EDA, will participate in the webinar as a speaker. And with him will be Mr. Christophe Xerri, from the IAEA; Mr. Vladimir Michael, also from the IAEA; Ms. Kristina Gillin; from Vysus Group Sweden AB; and Paola Maoddi and Bruno Flaviano; from Sogin.

At this moment, sustainability and circular economy are two key issues in all areas of society, also in the construction sector. Therefore, this webinar will be of great interest to professionals in the sector.
