EDA was present at the trade fair and congress REMTECH 2014

The organizers of the trade fair REMTECH 2014, specialized on remediation of contaminated sites, invited EDA to do a presentation on the parallel congress.
The most specialized event in Italy on reclamation of contaminated sites and requalification of the territory was held in Ferrara (Italy) the past 17, 18, 19 of September.
The European Demolition Association was represented by the Secretary General, Jose Blanco, who conducted a presentation entitled “Decontamination of Hazardous Waste. Towards a new reality”.
The eighth edition of Remediation Technogies congregated about 4,000 visitors in 180 exhibitors from all over Italy, but also from China, Ireland, England and Spain. Moreover, foreign delegations from China, Brazil, Russia and South Africa attended the event. That meant an increase of 10% of attendance.
There were special sections in the event, as Coast Esonda and Inertia, as well as new parallel event: “The Sustainable Remediation Conference 2014” and “International Symposium on Sediment Management I2SM”.
To sum up, remediation, innovation, hydrogeological instability and hydraulic risk, excavation materials, quarries, redevelopment of the territory were the key topics.
