Organizers of the Italian Concrete Days, an event to be held in Piacenza, Italy, in November 8-10, will be present at the exhibition area of the EDA’s annual event.
The second edition of GIC 2018 – Giornate Italiane del Calcestruzzo/Italian Concrete Days, the only Italian event dedicated to the machinery, equipment, products and technologies of the concrete industry, the prefabrication and restoration of reinforced cement structures, also in seismic areas.
This time, however, the event will have a part dedicated to demolition and recycling, and for this reason, the organization of the event has decided to be involved in the European Demolition & Decontamination Annual Convention 2018, to be held in Vienna, Austria, in June 7-9.
The successful first edition of GIC 2018 hosted 128 direct exhibitors representing 170 brands and more than 2600 qualified visitors. The exhibitors expressed great satisfaction with their participation at GIC 2016 and most of them have already confirmed that they will exhibit again this year with larger display stands.
In comparison to the previous edition, this year event will feature business categories still related to the concrete industries. In fact there will be two new theme areas: IDREXPO – Italian Demolition & Recycling Expo and CONPAVITEXPO – Concrete Paving Technologies Expo. Idrexpo will be dedicated to machinery and equipment for cutting and demolishing concrete structures, but also for selecting, recycling and transporting aggregates.
Conpavitexpo, on the other hand, will be devoted to machinery, technologies and chemical products for building and maintaining concrete pavements and screed.
In keeping with the new theme areas, conventions and workshops will be organized in cooperation with the main trade associations. It is also worth mentioning that, in comparison to the first edition, GIC is obtaining increasingly endorsements by new Italian and foreign trade associations, directly or indirectly involved in the various areas related to the concrete industries.
Particularly significant “new entries” include the Italian Association of Manufacturers of Additives and Products for Concrete, Assiad, and the Italian Association of the Concrete Flooring Contractors, Conpaviper.
GIC 2018: Event of international relevance
Considering the success of its first edition also for the number of non-Italian exhibitors and visitors, the 2nd edition of the show has been listed by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development in the special category of Italian events of international interest which will definitely increase the number of foreign qualified operators at GIC 2018.
This fact will enhance the international significance of the Piacenza event, with the organization of a gala evening held at the same time, for the presentation of the ICTA-Italian Concrete Technology Awards on November 9th in the Hall of Tapestries of the Alberoni College of Piacenza.
An important moment of meeting and recognition for Italian businesses and professionals in the industry who differentiated over the previous eighteen months through innovation and results achieved (www.icta.it).
