ICEBERG Project: Circular Economy of Building Materials

  • ICEBERG wants to make significant advances in the uptake of the circular economy in the building industry.  

The ICEBERG Project, acronym for Innovative Circular Economy Based solutions demonstrating the Efficient recovery of valuable material Resources from the Generation of representative End-of-Life building materials, was funded by the European Union as part of the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Framework Programme.

35 public and private organizations from ten European countries, including LEZAMA and TRACIMAT, both members of EDA, take part in it.

The ICEBERG project aims to tackle the recycling and recovery some of the most common construction and demolition waste (C&DW). It is planned that this project lasts for four years (2020-2024).
