The Institute of Demolition Engineers, IDE, celebrates its 40th Anniversary on 1st of July, 2016, with a gala dinner in London.
From humble, some may even say parochial, beginnings, when a small group of the leading lights in the UK demolition industry came together in 1976 to create a new professional body, the vision of those founding fathers has become an established and respected reality and under its 21st, and youngest, president, Mr. Duncan Rudall, the Institute of Demolition Engineers, IDE, marks a special anniversary as it reaches is 40th birthday.
The IDE has grown, settled and established for itself a national and international reputation for fostering and promoting individual and industry professionalism.
It supports and represents the full breadth of the demolition sector, from the newest students to the leaders of major national and international companies.
Proud to partner with the NFDC and NDTG, the IDE promotes education, training and professionalism that can take members from their first days in the industry through apprenticeships and incremental development all the way to Chartered Engineer recognition.
On 1st July 2016 the IDE is gathering to celebrate 40 years of achievements and to look forward to the next 40 years.
In addition, the IDE collaborates with the European Demolition Association, EDA, in the organization of its Annual Convention 2016, to be held from 9th to 11th of June, in Glasgow, Scotland (UK).
