“Innovation in Construction”, a unique conference organized by the European Commission

The “Innovation in Construction” conference is the first of a kind, an event that pulls together the various strands addressed by the Action Plan for the “Strategy for the sustainable competitiveness of the construction sector and its enterprises” COM(2012)433.
The European Commission is organising a one-day Conference on 21 October 2013 in Brussels.
This event will be open by Mr. Antti Peltomäki, Deputy Director-General of the Enterprise and Industry Directorate-General.
The European Commission will take into account the views expressed during this conference when identifying priorities for future programmes and initiatives in regard to the construction sector.
It should also help all sides understand how various EU financial instruments could support this process.

EDA has being invited by the European Comission to participate on the conference, and will present a presentation with the title “Developing an economy on construction waste“, as part of the session called “Promoting life-cycle thinking“.
