EDA, present at 2013 International Construction Equipment Congress in Istanbul

EDA was present at the International Construction Equipment Congress in Istanbul, 19-20 september 2013, with the participation of its Secretary General, Jose Blanco.

Blanco took part as a panellist in the World Economic Forum, with speakers from all over the world, on an interesting debate about the future of the construction industry in Turkey.

Participants discussed on  the challenges of the international construction industry, focused on qualified human resources and companies financial needs.

Hence the congress was as a very convenient platform to establish new contacts and renew the old acquaintances in Turkey.

The main objective of the congress was to explore the huge potential of Turkish construction equipment market and industry powered by several infrastructure and housing mega projects scheduled to be finished until 2023, the 100th anniversary of Turkish Republic founded by Kemal Atatürk.

This event was jointly organised by IMDER, Turkish Construction Equipment Distributors & Manufacturers Association, the Turkish Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, and took place at The Greenpark Hotel Pendik and Convention Centre of Istanbul (Turkey).
