Meeting of the Education & Training working group during the EDA Annual Convention

The annual meeting of the European demolition industry, the EDA Convention, was held in Berlin on June 14th – 16th, 2012.
One of the meetings scheduled for the event was the Education & Training working group.
This meeting was presented and moderated by Marcel Schröder, Delegate of the German Demolition Asociation and a board-member of EDA.
During the meeting, Martin Trentman, Head of further education on the Vocational Training Institute of the German Construction Industry, made an interesting presentation for the participants on the working group.
His presentation title was “Education and training on the German Demolition Industry, an approach to the Dual System in Germany”, about the German model of education for workers of the demolition and concrete sawing and drilling.
After the presentation, the participants carried out an interesting debate and assessed the possible applications of the German model and practices to other countries.
