Meeting of the Enviromental working group in Berlin

The celebration of the EDA Annual Convention in Berlin (June, 14-16th), allowed demolition professionals to share strengths and difficulties of its activity, exchanging experiences that could be helpful on each individual company.
Among multiple activities scheduled for this event, it was included the meeting of the Enviromental working group, carried out during the first day of the Convention.
The meeting was guided by Claude Chéné, Head of the Enviromental working group, board-member of EDA and Delegate of the French Demolition Association.
The meeting was focused mainly on a presentation about the “VDI Guideline 6202 for remedation of contamined facilites”.
Presented by Martin Kessel, project-engineer of ARCADIS Deutschland, this lecture exposed the regulations related to hazardous waste, the important aspects of a pollutant remediation and the guideline application to pollutant-related activities during demolition.
As it was expected in such interesting topic, after the lecture, the working group discussed about the VDI Guideline implications in the demolition daily activity and the main differences with other countries on related legislation.
