Demcon 2018, the Nordic demolition show in Stockholm, taken place on September, 27-28, to show the latest products for demolition, concrete cutting, recycling, dust extraction, decontamination, concrete floor grinding and polishing.
In the frame of the trade fair, the European Demolition Association, EDA, and the Industry Association for Building Preparation of Sweden, BFB, organized a workshop about demolition & decontamination on September 28 in Stockholm, Sweden.
This year was the seventh edition of the show since it was first staged in 1998. There were two show days at InfraCity with an indoor and outdoor area as usual.
The focus was the same since the start and included several demolition services (like sawing and drilling, demolition of all sorts, grinding and polishing of concrete floors, recovery of demolition residues, remediation, dust handling, hydro-demolition and more).
“During the nearly 30 years we worked with the demolition industry, it is interesting to note that many entrepreneurs have embraced so many more technologies than they originally worked with. To offer demolition services or grinding concrete floors is now almost a matter of course if you are a concrete cutter for example. That has happened a lot in this industry and it is precisely this development DEMCON has communicated since the late 1990s”, said DEMCON project manager, Jan Hermansson.
The ceremony of the Swedish Demolition Awards 2018 was celebrated at the DEMCON gala dinner held in the Inveracity. The Swedish Professional Demolition magazine in cooperation with the Association for Building Preparations awarded the prize to the winners.
