Opening by Sirpa Pietikäinen, Member of the European Parliament

Ms. Sirpa Pietikäinen, Finnish Member of the European People’s Party (EPP) in the European Parliament, will open the main conference of the EDA Annual Convention 2015.
Ms. Pietikäinen is member of the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee and substitute member of the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Committee as well as of the Women’s Right and Gender Equality Committee at the European parliament.
Member of this institution since 2008, her experience at the Finnish parliament is also extensive, ranging from the year 1983 to 2003.
Ms. Pietikäinen is also author of four publications:
- Old age in the city, 1996
- A woman’s seven lives, 1998
- Earth challenge, 1999
- Everything leaves a mark, 2008
Her presence in Helsinki, on 12th of June, during the conference day, will add institutional value to the EDA Annual Convention.
