The recycling of end-of-life concrete into new concrete is one of the most interesting options for reducing worldwide resource use and emissions associated with the building materials sector.

A Project that aims to develop three innovative tecnologies for recycling end-of-life concrete, integrate them with state-of-the-art demolition and building processes and procedures, and test the new system approach.

EDA_DF_Francesco_Di_MaioThe speaker of this event will be Francesco Di Maio, currently a member of the group Resources & Recycling at Delft University of Technology (Netherlands).

Di Maio is involved in Waste Separation and Recycling research issues. He has been the project coordinator of several European projects including the one he will be presenting at the forum, FP7 project “Advanced Technologies for the Production of Cement and Clean Aggregates from Construction and Demolition” (C2CA).

The Deconstruction Forum will be held in Madrid (Spain) on June 12th to 14th, 2014.
