Risk management, presence of hazardous materials on demolition sites
28/02/2014
The presence of hazardous materials and hazardous waste in demolition projects is generally well known and usually considered in work procedures for industrial sites.
To describe some of the more unusual risk, ERM will make a presentation using case studies key aspects and examples of issues to be considered in managing some of these issues and materials both at the initial planning stages (awareness, identification, setting of clean-up levels) through to potential decontamination, segregation and validation activities.
As a representative member of ERM will be Lindsay Pepperell, Technical Director within ERM, as part of ERM’s Contaminated Site Management (CSM) with a role to advise clientes on EH&S issues for phase I and II assessments of land and facilities, DD&D assessments and demolition projects.
The Deconstruction Forum will be held in Madrid (Spain) on June 12th to 14th, 2014.
