Selling at Ritchie Bros. opens a world of opportunities

Ritchie Bros., a globally leading heavy equipment seller and member of EDA, sold more than 10,600 demolition related equipment items in 2016.

This included dozens of demolition excavators, hundreds of grapples, shears, pulverizers, crushers and many more supporting equipment.

The demolition items sold at the Company’s auctions around the world were purchased by 6,500 succesful bidders joining from all over the world in person and live over the internet.

 

More equipment, more sellers, more buyers

In total Ritchie Bros. sold over 399,000 equipment items and trucks at its 2016 auctions, representing an increase of 13% over 2015.

The number of bidders and consignors at the auction also increased compared to the previous year.

At Ritchie Bros. auctions in 2016 549,000 bidders (+8%) registered to bid and 53,000 consignors (+12%) chose to sell the gear they no longer needed at the auction.

A powerful place to sell

People are frequently searching for demolition equipment on the Ritchie Bros. website. Not only powerful demolition excavators, but also attachments such as pulverizers, grapples, crushers and shears are popular.

Some of the demolition equipment in the auctions is used and added by demolition companies, but inventories can also include unused products. Once items are added to an auction, they are advertised widely to reach potential buyers.

On the auction day, bidders from all corners of the world can easily join in person or online to compete for the items of their interest.
