According to recent figures released by CECE, the Committee of European Construction Equipment, demand was strong in the first quarter of this year.

Demand of construction equipment is notably rising in Spain, Portugal and Italy, which means the European construction sector is now stabilizing after having hit the bottom; however, market demand might cool down further in the second half of the year, particularly in countries like Germany, France and the UK.

In addition, in the UK, earthmoving equipment sales grew by 44% in the first half of this year compared to the same period a year before, doing the UK the best performing construction market in Europe.

Moreover, the majority of construction equipment manufacturers in non-European countries grew, especially in the Middle East and North America, while Asia shows mixed signs with the improve in India and the decline of China.
