Sustainability in the renovation of buildings: energy efficiency and going beyond

The past 18th of November took place a dinner debate in the European Parliament Gypsum Forum in Brussels, Belgium.
Members of European Parliament, European Commission Officials and 50 representatives of construction industry met to debate about sustainability in the renovation of buildings in order to go beyond energy efficiency.
Some topics of the dinner debate were the renovation as one of the best ways to create jobs in the European Union, the need of achieve the Commission ambition to recycle more and more, the importance of improving the gypsum recycling process and the capacity of the construction sector to be the engine of the economic recovery, among others.
The European Parliament Gypsum Forum promotes the sustainable construction and renovation and means the roadmap to do it step by step throughout the construction supply chain.
