Take a look into the European Week for Safety and Health at Work

  • The event took place in many European cities between the 25th and the 29th of October.

Safety and health are key concepts in workplaces. Some job functions are dangerous and cause work-related illnesses, and even deaths. That is why the European Agency for Safety and Health and Work (EU-OSHA) helds the European Week for Safety and Health at Work. This event is based on conferences, competitions, training sessions, exhibitions and networking and good practice events, both online and onsite, in different European cities, as Bilbao in Spain, celebrated from 25 to 29 of October.

This year Week is focused on the prevention and trackling of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), in a campaign named ‘Healthy Workplaces Lighten the Load’. MSDs are injuries or disorders of the muscles, nerves, tendons, joints, cartilage, and spinal discs, and many of them has work-related causes.

EDA is an official partner of EU-OSHA and the ‘Healthy Workplaces Lighten the Load’ campaign, working together to promote healthy workplaces and prevent injuries related to work accidents and bad practices.
