This meeting was held on 23th of March in Brussels, Belgium, and the European Demolition Association was represented by Ms. Lucía Delgado member of the Secretariat.
This group addresses actions for improvements in construction activities and construction works to contribute to a competitive construction sector and to the development of a resource and energy efficient building stock, with all new buildings being near zero energy consumers and materials resource-efficient.
Some of the topics analyzed at the meeting were:
- Report on the implementation of the circular economy action plan.
- Follow-up on the EU Construction and demolition waste protocol and EU predemolition Audits study.
- Horizon 2020 projects supporting innovation projects in the area of construction and demolition.
- Progress on the EU Framework for assessment of environmental performance of buildings.
- Durability of buildings versus design for deconstruction
