This is the title of the workshop led by TECNALIA (Coordinators of HISER H2020 project and the EU Specific Contract on Pre-demolition Audit), in the frame of the EDA 2016 Annual Convention in Glasgow, Scotland (UK).
From a quantitative point of view, the best practices in Europe show that recycling rates over 80% or 90% are feasible.
However, there is a great difference among the different countries which constitutes the main drawback to achieve the EU objective of 70% of CDW being recycled by 2020.
A review of the current situation in the EU, regarding tools, guidelines and current practices in pre demolition waste audits of buildings and infrastructures, is being performed.
All this information will allow to define and harmonize current needs for new procedures, guidelines and policy recommendations in order to improve the recyclability of CDW.
The available findings and immediate actions will be presented in the workshop during in the EDA 2016 annual convention.
All registered participants are invited to this workshop, while the representants of companies members of HISER project can take advantage a disscount in the registration for the EDA 2016 Annual Convention.
