The FINNISH FEDERATION OF ASBESTOS AND DUST RENOVATION (SAP ry), a member of the European Demolition Association, has continued to strengthen its role in advancing safe and sustainable hazardous materials management through two key events held this spring in Finland.
Asbestos and Hazardous Substances 2026 seminar
On 19 March 2026, SAP ry organised the Asbestos and Hazardous Substances 2026 seminar in Helsinki, gathering more than 200 professionals from the construction, demolition and environmental sectors. It focused on current developments in hazardous substance management, covering both legislative changes and practical site experiences. Beyond regulatory updates, the event highlighted the growing importance of hazardous materials management as part of responsible business practices and sustainable demolition activities.
SAP ry’s Annual Meeting 2026
SAP ry’s Annual Meeting followed on 24 April 2026 aboard the historic S/S Bore in Turku. Members approved the 2025 financial statements and reviewed the association’s ongoing participation in research initiatives and international cooperation, including its active involvement within the European demolition community.
