VERAS invites the public to discover demolition sites during Demolition Day

On 19 September 2026, EDA member VERAS will open demolition and asbestos removal sites across the Netherlands to the public as part of Demolition Day.

The initiative offers visitors a unique opportunity to see what happens behind the scenes of demolition projects. From the machinery and techniques used on site to the sorting and recovery of materials, the event will showcase the important role demolition contractors play in the circular economy.

VERAS, the Dutch trade association representing around 100 members and more than 20 donors, is also using the event to highlight the people behind the profession. Visitors will be able to discover the wide range of roles within demolition and asbestos removal, as well as the career opportunities available in a sector that is constantly evolving.

Demolition Day is open to everyone, from industry professionals to families, students and anyone curious about what happens on a demolition site. Participating locations can be found on the official Demolition Day website.

Save the date: 19 September 2026, discover demolition from a different perspective, and visit the EDA calendar.
