Loaders

Skid steer loaders

Skid steer loaders are versatile machines that are steered by turning the wheels on one side with the wheels on the other side either locked in position or turning in the opposite direction.

The loader booms are located on both sides of the operator cabin and mounted on the back end of the machine allow a high lifting force compared to the machine weight.

Moreover, this makes it easy to move the centre of gravity rapidly.

According to the standard ISO 6165:2012, this machines are defined as a: “loader normally having an operator station between or to the side of the attachment-supporting structure(s) and steered by using variation of speed, and/or direction of rotation between traction drives on the opposite sides of a machine having fixed axles on wheels or tracks”.

In this type of carriers, it is highly recommended to choose the biggest attachment that the loader can carry and operate.

Wheel loaders

A wheel loader is an articulated four-wheel drive machine with a loader boom in front.

Heavy wheel loaders are mostly used for their original loading purpose with a bucket, but for some applications they are suitable carriers for demolition attachments as well.

Moreover, there exist in the market a special type of wheeled loaders, known as mini loaders, which essentially small wheel loaders with an articulated frame or four-wheel steering.

These machines were originally designed for light loading applications, but today they are very used as carriers for a lot of types of demolition attachments.

The characteristics of the carrier set the limits for attachments.
