EDA Annual Convention 2023

We are pleased to present our Annual event and this time we have chosen the marvelous city of Amsterdam!

The professional program of the EDA Annual Convention will take place on the 15th & 16th of June 2023.

In addition, there will be a leisure programme for companions on Friday 16th and for all attendees on Saturday 17th.

The EDA is an international reference for the DDR industry and this is the perfect opportunity to get to know the newest projects and learn about the know-how of our international colleagues.

This edition will be held in collaboration with Dutch Demolition Association, VERAS, and the European Decontamination Institute, EDI.

Thursday, June 15th – Special activity out of the professional program*

11:00 – Workshop “Global status of nuclear decommissioning and related HR development and supply chain considerations”

    • Overview of the Global status of decommissioning of nuclear facilities and the IAEA considerations on training and human resources development;
    • Specific conclusions of the IAEA Decommissioning conference (May 2023) on supply chain and technology innovations;
    • Examples of contractual and implementation practices, including those on demolition within nuclear decommissioning projects.

9:00 – Leisure program: Countryside tour

Get a chance to visit the jewels of Amsterdam: Edam, Volendam and Zaanse Schans. During this private tours, we’ll be able to see the authentic Deutch windmills, learn about this villages’ history and see the famous fishing harbour, as well as the Protestant churches, clog factories and fishermen’s houses, transporting us to the 16th century.

The tour includes typical Dutch lunch at Voledam as well.

The tour will last until 16:30h; the transit will departure from and get back to the Corendon Hotel.

19:00 – Gala dinner at National Maritime Museum (Dress Code: Black Tie)

Saturday, June 17th – For all participants

10:00 – Leisure program: Canal cruise and city tour

On the last day of the EDA Annual Convention 2023, we are siezing the opportunity to tour the Amsterdam city on a private cruise. Enjoy breathtaking views of Amsterdam from its canals and experience the world’s only UNESCO World Heritage Canal District!

The tour will begin at 10:00h, at the Dock close to Central station. There won’t be any pick up service; the guests will have to arrive to the Central Station by their own means.

Afterwards, we will enjoy a walking tour throughout the city and get a taste of the best Dutch pancakes at Dutch Pancake MastersThis restaurant has a wide variety of meals, including sweet and “lunch time” pancakes, filled with chicken, cheese, etc. The adress is the following:
