Looking back to the EDA Annual Convention 2025

15/07/2025

A month ago, we were in Venice, where the EDA 2025 Annual Convention took place. The event did not disappoint, and we experienced some great moments to remember. Attendees enjoyed insightful conferences on cutting-edge topics and vibrant networking sessions, where they could exchange more than business cards; they could exchange knowledge and perspectives.

Conferences, prizes and a looot of networking

The event brought together demolition, decontamination, and recycling professionals from across Europe and beyond: Canada, the United States, Argentina, Australia and Japan. The Japan Demolition Contractors Association, JDCA, organised a big delegation to attend the EDA convention and share experiences.

Attendees enjoyed insightful conferences on cutting-edge topics and vibrant networking sessions, where we could exchange more than business cards; we could exchange knowledge and perspectives. The professional program was full of interesting conferences, mainly case studies. If you want to know more, take a look here.

After the conferences, it was announced the winner of the European Circular Economy Awards 2025. Mr. Yifei Yu, the candidate of the Dutch association, VERAS, was the winner for his PhD thesis, “Circular Construction Ecosystems: Designing a Circularity Information Platform for the Built Environment.

The stunning Venice setting, combined with unforgettable social events like the Welcome Cocktail at the Murano Glass Cathedral and Gala Dinner at Pescheria Di Rialto, made this convention truly memorable.

“What I enjoyed most was connecting within others during the event. The Gala dinner was also super with the boat trips and delicious dinner. The place was also unique and enjoyable.”

“The whole experience was a highlight. But the Gala Diner, especially the venue, really stood out. Quality of the speakers was of a high level this year.”

“I found the conferences really interesting. You realize how great experience and knowledge all these companies must have to perform the projects presented.”

We look forward to continuing the momentum at next year’s event! Save the dates for the EDA Annual Convention 2026, which will take place from June 10th to 11th, 2026, in the vibrant city of Dublin (Ireland).
