UN sustainable development goals 2030

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, aims to be the global framework to achieve peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.
This ambitious and noble objective pretends to be achieved by the establishment of 17 different goals (Sustainable Development Goals [SDGs]) which are an urgent call for action by all countries.
- No poverty: Seeks to ensure that the living conditions of all are sustainably improved and that no one is left behind.
- Zero hunger: Supports value addition to agricultural output and helps reduce post-harvest losses and increase resource efficiency.
- Good health and well-being: Support the developing countries for the local production of essential generic drugs and the provision of necessary appliances to the health industry. And aims to reduce pollution from industry and protecting consumer health.
- Quality education: Supports the development of entrepreneurial culture and skills, provides training, and helps to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Gender equality: Supports women in acquiring skills and gaining access to productive and financial resources.
- Clean water and sanitation: Assist countries with the transfer of best available technologies and environmental practices to improve industrial and municipal water management.
- Affordable and clean energy: Promotes energy efficiency policies, technologies and practices, as well as access to affordable renewable sources of energy.
- Decent work and economic growth: Facilitate structural transformation and economic growth.
- Industry, innovation and infrastructures: Seeks to advance poverty eradication and inclusiveness, build productive capacities and provide more opportunities for all. It also promotes rapid economic and industrial growth and ensures that all countries can benefit from international trade and technological progress Moreover, it aims to advance environmentally sustainable growth.
- Reduced inequalities: Promotes greater productivity, stable employment, increased incomes, and improves economic opportunities.
- Sustainable cities and communities: Promotes smart industries and industrial clusters in urban industrial zones that spur innovation, resource efficiency, and industrial competitiveness while linking local businesses with global markets and supply chains.
- Responsible consumption and production: Promote green industries, resource-efficient management, cleaner production, energy efficiency in industry, reduction of waste and pollution, and environmental sustainability policies in industrial production and consumption, such as the circular economy approach.
- Climate action: Promotes the reduction of industrial CO2 and other gas emissions.
- Life below water: Supports efforts to reduce the detrimental industrial impacts on water bodies.
- Life and land: Aim at improving rural livelihoods, food security, and agricultural production in a sustainable manner.
- Peace, justice and strong institutions: Supports the restoration of economic activities and empowerment of communities affected by crises.
- Partnerships for the goals: Facilitates international cooperation, multi-stakeholder partnerships, and the alignment of public and private investments and industrial policies.
In order to fulfil these 17 goals many projects are being developed, such as events and publications to favour partnerships and establishing new projects to achieve the final objective.
