EDA Think Tank 2025: “End-of-Waste Criteria for CDW and Future EU Standard for Pre-demolition and redevelopment audits”

Presentation
The EDA Think Tank 2025 returns as a key forum for exchanging ideas and building dialogue between industry professionals, national associations, European institutions, and other key stakeholders in demolition and the construction value chain. It will take place in Brussels on October 15th, 2025.
This annual event is designed to foster open, practical discussions on relevant technical, regulatory, and strategic issues, with a clear focus on collaboration and shared experiences. Unlike traditional conferences, this format is based on moderated roundtables and dynamic interaction—there are no formal presentations or slides. Instead, selected experts receive guiding questions in advance to encourage genuine, unfiltered exchange.
The 2025 edition will be divided into 2 sessions that cover critical areas for the future of construction and demolition in Europe: the progress toward establishing End-of-Waste (EoW) criteria for construction and demolition waste (C&DW), and the development of a European standard for pre-demolition and pre-redevelopment audits. These two areas are closely tied to the broader European agenda for circular economy, resource independence, and industrial competitiveness.
